It’s true that God loves to hear and answer prayer – and this is a source of great encouragement and strength for the Christian. But it’s also true that sometimes God appears to be silent, and doesn’t answer our prayers. This can often be a source of great anxiety and frustration. But it need not be so. In fact, if we understood God’s reasons for not answering our prayers, we would be thankful and sometimes even repent.
